Chips
There are many chip recipes out there our favourite is Hestons Triple Cooked chips although these do take a lot of prep and can be quite time consuming to prepare and cook. (watch the video from 1 minute 35 below to see how it is done). If you you don't have the time for this you can always go down to the chippie who will make them for you (although they may not be triple cooked)
With chips we love dips from hummus to guacamole to spicy ketchup to spicy BBQ sauce. It is at this point where you can use our products to get creative and create a whole host of dips quickly and easily to increase your satisfaction and consumption of the wonderful chip.
Our first recipe is for a quick easy guacamole:-
3 ripe avocados
1 Lime
Dips Garlic Chilli Paste (pick the one that will provide the heat you want we suggest the medium)
1 small onion
coriander
Recipe
Scoop avocados into a bowl and add half the zest of half the lime and the juice of 1 lime and a teaspoon of the Garlic Chilli Paste to the bowl and mash together with a fork. Finely dice the onion and shred the coriander and mix through. This cool guacamole with a bit of a hit of chilli really works well with a crisp hot chip
Spicy Ketchup
This is probably one of the simplest recipes you can come across. All you need is some store bought ketchup and some Garlic Chilli paste (we recommend the extra hot). Quite simple mix the 2 together until you get the heat that you want and you have a delicious spicy ketchup to have with your chips.
Spicy Hummus
200g of tinned Chickpeas
2 tablespoons of Lemon Juice
1 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon tahini
1 teaspoon of Garlic Chilli paste (we recommend extra hot)
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
salt
paprika
Recipe
Drain chickpeas and rinse.
Add Chickpeas, lemon juice, cumin, tahini and Garlic Chilli paste to a food processor and blend until smooth.
Add salt, more lemon juice, Garlic Chilli paste and cumin to taste
Serve in a bowl smooth out the sides and create a small well in the middle drizzle with olive oil and a sprinkle of paprika and enjoy with your chips
Grate the cucumber and put in a colander to drain excess water mix yoghurt with cucumber, lemon juice, salt, Garlic Chilli Paste and shredded mint. This is delicious and can be used as a salad dressing as well.
